The base is located in Spokane County, Washington, United States. Spokane, WA(16 miles), Seattle, WA (322 miles), Los Angeles, CA (939 miles) are some surrounding cities. The base serves United States Air Force. The 92nd Air Refueling Wing occupies the base. The base is about 6.5 square miles big. There are about 10000 military & civilian personnel based at the mission. The primary mission of the base is to provide air refueling facility to fighters/bombers The base was built in 1942. The base has been named after General Muir S Fairchild. The base has a total of 1,344 housing units that are located inside the base.
